Wildkatz Fans :

Your Northwest Illinois Wildkatz Football Team but it all on the line Saturday Night in Tinley Park. Two teams that were evenly matched went head to head. The wild Katz beat the Chicago Colts 26-14. The Katz set the tone early on the running of Eugene Davis and the Offensive Line. In the first half the Katz played very smart Football and limited there mistakes to a minimum. The Second half the Katz showed a mixture of run and pass, as the talent of Julius Tucker were on display. The Katz racked up over 450 yards of offense. The Coach preaches 60 minutes. I saw about 58 minutes in this game as there were a couple of lapse (small ones) on the offensive line. I would like to contribute that to the circumstance. The humid temperature and the shortened half -time due to the Game Starting Late, and having to finish by a certain time.

The Katz are now 1-5 and have some good momentum going into their next game . It is at home, so come on out. BACK THE KATZ, THEY ARE ON A ROLL.!!!!!!

Game 5 Recap

A Great Midwest Football League game covered by Joe Fretto, Mark Guzman, and Bobby Luginbil

The game was close in the first half. At the end of the first half, a touchdown by the Wildcats gave brought it to 17-8, but Lake Shore answered at the horn to end the first half.

Julius Tucker ( Wildcats) made some nice passes. He showed some great scrambling ability.

The Wildcats have a solid passing attack. They were in a passing formation most of the game with several trips formations, as well as 5-wide formations.

Lake Shore was powered by a very balanced attack. Their running backs were fast and very evasive and caused the defensive backs to miss on various ocasions.

They were 4-0 coming into the game as their defense only allowed 50 points in five games.

Final score Lakeshore 49-14 over the Northwest Wildcats.

The game was played at the football field at Illinois Benedictine University in Lisle Illinois.
