Game 3 Recap

The Wildkatz gave a outstanding effort against the Chicago Blitz. They might have been out manned a little bit but they gave it everything they had. They went airborne in the first half with the arm of Julius Tucker and slot receiver Matt Bernard. They moved the ball well between the 20 yard lines . the Chi. Blitz toughened it up in the red zone and the wildkatz just missed on a few attempts at the end zone. Defense was real strong on the Blitz with LB Demetrius tucker leading the way. The Score at the half was 0 - 0, but as I said with plenty of action on both sides. The Blitz returned the the opening kickoff of the second half for a touchdown and were good on the opening 2-point conversion for a quick 8-0 lead. The wildkatz did not fold and actually made a solid statement on their first drive. They drove the ball down the field on a run dominated drive lead by Running backs Eugene Davis and Demetrius Powell. This one -two punch opened up some short passing plays for Julius Tucker. The drive consumed over 10 minutes , but the katz stopped themselves one the 1/2 yard line with mental mistakes. A couple of other mental mistakes by the defense lead to the next score by the Blitz and the lead went to 16-0. The Katz tried there best to dig themselves out of the hole they created but could not do it. The final was 24-0. The Katz have showed a lot of improvement from a year ago and were in this one until the end. The First four games being on the road have been frustrating but the Katz will not give up.
